{Something New}

another sweet friend of mine is expecting a darling little girl any day now! of course i couldn't resist making her something precious! i took a try at making satin flowers. i've wanted to learn how to make them for a while now. i finally did it! i am really happy with how they turned out. they are a beautiful accessory to any hat and make perfect hair bows. I used them to attach to a pair of black boots that i made my dear friend! enjoy the pics...

{It's just getting cuter..}

can it get any cuter?....yes it can! as I continue to crochet i am finding that there are so many possibilities and so many adorable patterns out there. i recently made a shower gift for a sweet friend of mine who is having a baby girl....i had so many options to choose from but i went with simple. i found an adorable pattern for a newborn chunky hat and i put my own spin on it by adding bows and flowers! the pics are below...you judge for yourself! i also added some more pics of some recent projects....enjoy...and let me know what you think!

{Why all the crocheting...}

i can remember back when i was younger spending a lot of time with my dear sweet grandma. she was and still is a very special and very important person that the lord has given to me. in that time growing up i can remember doing all sorts of things with her. spaghetti dinners every tuesday, garage sales anytime, doll shopping all the time, ceramic painting some of the time, playing yahtzee a must, but when it came to my grandma's hobby of crocheting, I was NOT interested. funny now, considering that i can't seem to get the crochet hook out of my hands. my grandma came out for a visit not so long ago and while spending some time with her she taught me how to crochet. this time i was interested. she just taught me the basics, but that's all i needed, and now, well the rest is history. thanks grandma for the lessons, i love you.
